I am setting up a Net-Net VPN using two IPcop machines with Zerina OpenVPN addon. I have everything set up correctly but the problem I'm having is possibly more of an advanced routing issue. On my Site-A I have several subnets internally. Ex: 192.168.1.0, 192.168.2.0, 192.168.3.0, etc. Site-B I only have one subnet 192.168.50.0.
Jan 16, 2013 · We are running ZERINA-0.9.5b and iPCop 1.4.21 right now. I am able to open the certificate file on my iPhone and it asks for a user name and password which I assume is the Name and Password found in the Client status and control portion of the OpenVPN configuration and nothing seems to happen. For remote access VPN, you can use IPsec, but I prefer OpenVPN and would suggest it over IPsec. It's less troublesome because firewalls the client is behind are less likely to break it than IPsec. Also make sure you use 1.2 beta for new installs, it's a better choice than 1.0 as it's much less buggy. The VPN Client address must not belong to the remote subnet range. In our example, we chose 0.0.0.0 meaning the VPN Client address is the physical address of the machine dynamically assigned by ISP (from a hotel for example). Hi, sometimes you have to set a static IP Address for some VPN Clients. Because they provide some server services which always must be reached at the same IP Address. The client configuration do not provide any option to do that, set a static IP Address on the adapter itself is also always being overwritten when the client establish a connection to the OpenVPN server. I know how to create a VPN tunnel with IPcop from one IpCop firewall to another but I'v been running into some problems with setting up a VPN server - net connection. Setting up an IpCop at the shop with OpenVPN sounds like the best choice since you are already an IpCop running at home. You are also looking at the cost factor and have some spare hardware. To get started go to the menu Services > OpenVPN, scroll to the Connection Status and Control section and click on the Download Client Package (zip) icon. Download Client Package (zip) Create unified file. There are a few different ways to create a unified file for use on an iOS device (iPhone or iPad device).
